Dr. KariKari is the only physician I have seen since the beginning of this medical issue July 6-7 who considered the severity of the issue, as well as the risk outcome an interventional medical procedure would have. He not only took the time to listen and sort through concerns, but also weigh them with me and advocate for the best decision. A rare trait in many hospitals and care settings.

In preparation of getting an IUD removed and an IUD inserted I was not offered any sort of medication to either dilate my cervix or pain medication. The doctor didn't explain what he was doing during the procedure.

I have loved every provider I have seen at UPMC OBGYN. However, this provider barely said a word to me. This was my postpartum checkup and I wasn't even sure if I was cleared for exercise or resuming previous activities, etc. He did a public exam and a breast exam, said he would order my birth control and left the room. My last postpartum checkup with my first baby my provider was very thorough, asked how I was feeling, and talked about how my exam went after they examined me. I still have no idea how my exam went.

I feel like I had to ask questions to get the information but maybe I just didn't wait long enough for him to explain everything without prompting.

The doctor was very informative, helpful and concerned. He took his time and made sure o understood everything involved in the procedure and make sure I was as comfortable as possible. I felt confident about the care he took during my appointment.

Dr. Kodjo KariKari is a fantastic doctor!! He was very thorough explaining options I have. He made sure that he answered any and all questions I had. Also he calmed me down during a very scary biopsy, as I was quite nervous.

I asked him a question, a serious question I thought, he laughed at me. Not what I expected. I asked what was funny, why he was laughing, no answer.

Doctor did not review my chart and did not listen to my explanation of symptoms. I came to discuss hormone replacement therapy and he just wanted me to be seen by a PCP because he thought my symptoms were unrelated to menopause. Completely unprepared.
